Obesity predisposes an individual to cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other disorders. Part of the problem may be accumulated wastes and poor dietary habits.

Just like smoking seemed incurable in the 1980s, obesity and weight problems share that distinction 20 years later. As a country, per capital and generation, people in the United States are fatter than other regions worldwide. This can be linked to the U.S’s acceptable behavior standards based on today’s consumerism.  Statistically, all American adults are two thirds overweight. The balancing act of weight loss is based on a calorie equation. Diet fads promise you that if you count carbohydrates or if you even eat a ton grapefruits it will drop the pounds right off. However, weight loss, boils down to counting calories. You need to burn more calories than you take in. Cutting out extra calories from food and beverages, and adding some sort of physical activity will contribute to weight loss.

The fundamental aspect of weight loss is based on the calorie equation. Once you grasp this concept you can plan out your weight loss goals. Following this simple weight loss calorie equation will help you reach your goal weight, and you don't have to do it alone. Your doctor, family, even your friends could be you support system. Now, support system or not, you have to be patient. Every person's body reacts to weight loss differently. You can't base your results on someone else's results. You should anticipate setbacks. You will be challenged during your weight loss time frame, and depending on how you handle these challenges will determine whether you succeed or fail.
